Fire causes over Rs 10 million damage in Bhojpur

KATHMANDU: A devastating wildfire that spread into the nearby settlement has resulted in damages exceeding 10 million rupees in Bhojpur-12, Taksar.
Dal Kumar Rai, the information officer at the District Police Office in Bhojpur, informed that the fire, originating in the community forest on Saturday afternoon, ravaged seven houses and ten sheds belonging to local residents.
Among those affected are Kamal Karki, Nar Bahadur Karki, Padam Karki, Bishal Karki, Gajendra Karki, Meena Shrestha, and Krishna Basnet, whose properties were destroyed by the flames.
Additionally, numerous other sheds belonging to locals were reportedly consumed by the fire.
Efforts to contain the blaze involved collaborative endeavors from the Nepal Police, Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and local residents, who worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control.
