Light snowfall likely in some parts of Nepal, department forecasts

KATHMANDU: Possibility of snowfall in some hilly regions of the country today due to the influence of the western low-pressure system and local winds.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, partial changes are expected in the mountainous regions of the country this morning, with mainly clear weather in other areas.

The department has indicated that there might be partial to mostly cloudy conditions in the country this afternoon, with the possibility of light snowfall in isolated areas of the high hills and Himalayan regions.

Tonight, the weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy to mostly clear across the country.

There is a chance of light snowfall in a few places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of the Gandaki State.

The department has also mentioned that some locations in the high hills and Himalayan regions of the Koshi and Gandaki States might experience light snowfall.

The department has advised people to remain cautious as there is a possibility of light snowfall in some high-altitude areas.
