KATHMANDU: The Foreign Ministry has confirmed the deaths of seven additional Nepali individuals who served in the Russian army, reportedly during the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has identified the deceased as Purna Bahadur Gurung from Dhading, Naveen Shahi from Jajarkot, Padam Bahadur Ghimire from Udayapur, Gangaram Adhikari from Jhapa, Jeet Bahadur BK from Baglung, Sanjay KC from Banke, and Sundar Moktan from Rasuwa.

This latest confirmation brings the total number of Nepali casualties in Russia to 19.

Despite the efforts of the Nepalese government, these additional deaths mark a tragic loss for Nepali citizens serving in the Russian army, as reported by the ministry.
