KATHMANDU: Three Nepali workers lost their lives in a devastating road accident in Kuwait. The incident occurred in the Mahabulla area, where the Nepali nationals, employed in a local company, were involved in a collision on Tuesday.

The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait confirmed the news, revealing that the fatal accident transpired when a speeding vehicle struck the trio as they crossed the road.

Identified as Surat Bahadur Kathayat from Achham, Sujan Karki from Kathmandu, and Dhiraj Gurmachan Magar from Dhanusha, they were colleagues employed in the same company in Kuwait together.

Authorities swiftly took action, apprehending the driver responsible for the accident. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been respectfully transferred to a hospital for autopsy examinations.

Efforts are underway to bring solace to their grieving families back home.

The Nepali government, in collaboration with relevant authorities, is working diligently to repatriate the bodies to Nepal.

Additionally, measures are being implemented to streamline insurance procedures, ensuring the families receive the support they need during this difficult time.
