KATHMANDU: Swarnim Wagle, a Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker, has stated that if his party fails to carry out its mandate, it may leave the government.
During a parliament meeting to discuss Prime Minister Dahal’s confidence vote, Wagle emphasized that the RSP is committed to providing efficient services and will not continue in government if it fails.
“We didn’t join to disrupt, confuse, dismantle, or engage in games. We joined to work. In opposition, we were steadfast in our roles,” he remarked, additionally stating, “We’ve taken on specific ministries and will strive for optimal performance. Nonetheless, if we falter in delivery, we’re prepared to depart from the government.”
Wagle expressed his party’s willingness to support the Prime Minister’s vow to improve government effectiveness, and emphasized that the decision to withdraw is contingent on the party’s commitment to meeting its duties.
