Tri-nations T20I Series: Nepal stumbles early in chase against PNG, 2 wickets fell

KATHMANDU: Nepal suffers an early blow in their quest of 172 runs against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the Tri-nations T20 International Series final, losing two wickets in the first over.

Nepal’s opening batsmen, Kushal Bhurtel and Binod Bhandari, scored five and four runs respectively before being dismissed.

PNG’s Kabua Morea engineered the early breakthroughs, taking the wickets of Nepal’s openers.

As the contest progressed past the fifth over, Nepal reached a score of 32 runs, two wickets behind, with 15 overs remaining and eight wickets in hand.
