Bus en route from Tulsipur to Kathmandu involved in an accident

KATHMANDU: A passenger bus traveling from Dang to Kathmandu was involved in an accident along the East-West Highway.

The night bus, identified by the number plate State 3-01-006 Kha 0974, collided with a tree at Kalakate Jurauni in Gadhawa Rural Municipality-1 of Dang.

According to the District Police Office in Dang, the accident occurred on Tuesday night when a bus en route from Tulsipur to Kathmandu lost control and crashed into the tree.

Three individuals sustained injuries in the incident: 21-year-old Aastha Paudel from Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan-19, 22-year-old Baburam Lamichhane from the same locality, and 48-year-old Babita Sahahi from Lamahi Municipality-5.

Reports suggest that all three individuals are in moderate condition and are currently receiving treatment at Rapti Polyclinic in Bhaluwang.

The remaining 40 passengers aboard the bus were shifted to another vehicle and continued their journey.
