KATHMANDU: In Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality, Ward No. 2 in Solukhumbu, a motorable bridge has been completed at a cost of NPR 32.8 million.

The inauguration was presided over by Representative Assembly Member Manbir Rai. Former Foreign Minister Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari was also present in the program.
The construction of the motorable bridge is expected to facilitate transportation and promote economic growth in the area.
Mingma Chhiri Sherpa, Chairperson of the Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality, expressed commitment to further development in the municipality.
Similarly, Buddhi Kiran Rai, Chairperson of the Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality, emphasized advancing local development beyond municipal financial resources.
Former Minister Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari pledged that the state government would allocate more than 2.5 million in the region.
He also assured that efforts would be made to address water supply issues and road problems.
Representative Assembly Member Manbir Rai committed to advocating for federal budget allocation in the sector.
The completion of the motorable bridge is expected to boost tourism and enhance economic development in the region.
It is believed that the bridge will facilitate both domestic and international tourists and make local transportation more convenient.
