Extratech oval stadium inaugurates, Legends Cup from today (photos)

KATHMANDU: The international quality extratech oval cricket ground in Rupandehi has been inaugurated.

The ground in Tilottama Municipality in Bhairahawa, which cost 40 crores to build, was opened today (Monday).

The cricket pitch was launched by Lumbini State Chief Amik Sherchan, as well as Vinod Kunwar’s father and mother.

The Legends Cup cricket competition began with the opening of the cricket field.

In this event, Paras Khadka, the national team’s previous captain, took the field after two and a half years away from cricket.

He captained the side that competed in the T20 World Cup in 2014.

The team is playing the first match against the 1996 team that played the first international match of Nepal. Legends 1996 is led by Lekh Bahadur Chhetri.
