Weather: Rain and snowfall likely to occur

KATHMANDU: The western low pressure system has partially affected Nepal.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather will be generally cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki States and partly cloudy in the hilly region of Bagmati State and Koshi State.

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of the country including Sudurpashchim State, Karnali State, Lumbini State and Gandaki State in the afternoon.

Likewise, light snowfall is likely to occur at a few places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Karnali State and Sudurpashchim State and at a few places of the rest of the high hilly regions.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region and mainly fair in the rest of the country during the night.

Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.
