KATHMANDU: On the occasion of Mahashivratri, the 17th edition of Mahashivaratri World Music Festival 2024 will be organized in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Namaste Band is gearing up to host the 17th edition of the Mahashivaratri World Music Festival in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The festivities, set to commence today in Kathmandu and continue tomorrow in Pokhara, coincide with the revered occasion of Mahashivratri.

The event, spearheaded by Namaste Band, will also mark the celebration of the band’s 35th annual festival.

Renowned Nepali musical groups are slated to grace the stage, adding their unique flair to the vibrant atmosphere.

Ishwar Gurung, the Coordinator of Namaste Band, emphasized the festival’s mission to showcase Nepali culture, music, art, literature, and promote cultural tourism.

He underscored Namaste Band’s commitment to elevating Nepali heritage on the global stage while fostering unity, harmony, and camaraderie among musicians. Gurung also reflected on the organization’s journey, highlighting its substantial contributions to the realms of art and music.

He informed Makalukhbar that as in previous years Namaste Band organized the World Music Festival in its annual festival.

On the occasion of the 35th annual festival and Mahashivratri, we have organized this festival together with Namaste Band (Nepal Japan), he said.
