KATHMANDU: Currently, Nepal is experiencing the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system, as reported by the Weather Forecast Division.

At the moment, mountainous regions, particularly parts of Sudurpaschim State, are enjoying mostly clear skies.

As the day progresses, the weather is expected to shift from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.

In contrast, the remaining States will likely maintain mostly clear weather.

Some high hilly and Himalayan areas in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, along with a few spots in Koshi and Bagmati States, may experience light snowfall.

During the night, hilly areas, including Sudurpaschim State, can expect mostly clear skies, while other States might experience partly cloudy conditions.

Notably, there’s a possibility of light snowfall in Gandaki, Karnali, and certain high hilly and Himalayan regions of Sudurpaschim State.

Given the forecasted light snowfall in these regions, residents are advised by the Weather Forecast Division to take necessary precautions.

This is to mitigate any potential disruption to daily activities such as agriculture, health services, tourism, mountain expeditions, and transportation by road and air.
