Man held for raping a 22-year-old girl

KATHMANDU: A 30-year-old Jeevan Thapa, a resident of Nawalparasi Paschim Bardaghat Municipality-7 Belani, was arrested by the police on Wednesday afternoon on charges of raping a 22-year-old girl.

Based on a complaint that Jeevan had raped the woman in a room in Jhapa Mechinagar Municipality-8 Jorsimal, the police station from the district police office Kakarbhitta arrested him.

The police are investigating further in this regard.
