Weather: Partial western low-pressure system influence; light snowfall expected in high regions

KATHMANDU: Currently, Nepal is experiencing the partial influence of a western low-pressure system, as reported by the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division.

The weather is predominantly clear in the mountainous regions of the country, including certain parts of Sudurpaschim State.

As the day progresses, expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, while the rest of the region should remain mostly clear.

There’s a chance of light snowfall in some high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, as well as a few spots in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Bagmati States.

During the night, the hilly areas of the country, including the Sudurpaschim State, are likely to stay mostly clear, while other areas may experience partly cloudy skies.

Light snowfall is anticipated in Gandaki, Karnali, and a few places in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Sudurpaschim State.
