Police report confirms Shalin wrote the ‘suicide note’ herself
Following forensic examination conducted by the Nepal Police laboratory, it has been affirmed that the 'suicide note' was written by Shalin herself.
KATHMANDU: Authorities have confirmed that the purported ‘suicide note’ discovered in the tragic case of 14-year-old Shalin Pokharel, found deceased in a Chitwan hostel, was indeed authored by her.
Shalin, a resident of Ratnanagar Municipality-10, was discovered dead within the premises of Ekta Shishu Niketan hostel.
Subsequently, a ‘suicide note’ purportedly belonging to her was uncovered.
Following forensic examination conducted by the Nepal Police laboratory, it has been affirmed that the ‘suicide note’ was written by Shalin herself.
Reportedly, the note penned by Shalin before her passing included sentiments such as, “Sorry to everyone. Regardless of any mistakes I’ve made, please convey to my parents that I miss them. I am sorry.”
After undergoing postmortem at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Shalin’s cremation took place on Tuesday afternoon, with both of her parents in attendance.
