Bharatpur bus accident: 9-year-old child dies

KATHMANDU: In a tragic incident, a 9-year-old boy named Arush Paudel lost his life after a bus accident in Bharatpur, Chitwan.

The incident occurred when bus number Na. 4 Kha. 5815 from Narayangadh collided with him while he was crossing the road near Zebra Crossing in Machhapuchhre Chowk, Ward No. 7 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

According to Shreeram Bhandari, the spokesperson of the District Police Office in Chitwan, the boy was hit by the bus, resulting in his immediate death.

Additionally, Kopila Rai, a 21-year-old passenger on the bus from Bharatpur-7, also sustained injuries in the accident.

The driver Bikash Sarki of Madi Municipality-8, was detained by the police from Sitaram Chowk.
