Shalin death case: Three arrested remained in custody for four more days

KATHMANDU: The Chitwan District Court has authorized an additional four days of custody for the school principal, vice principal, and hostel warden who were arrested for further investigation in the tragic death of Shalin Pokhrel at the Ekata Shisu Niketan hostel in Ratnanagar Municipality-10, Chitwan.

Shalin, a student in class 8, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the hostel.

The police detained the school principal, 60-year-old Balhari Devkota, vice principal Kiran Bahadur Adhikari (40), and hostel warden Kamal Sharma Poudel (48) on Tuesday.

The court had previously granted a seven-day detention period for the investigation.
