APF DSP found dead in office
Upendra Basyal, a 38-year-old DSP from Palpa, was discovered dead in his office in Morang.
KATHMANDU: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from the Armed Police Force was discovered deceased in his office in Morang.
Upendra Basyal, a 38-year-old DSP from Palpa, was discovered dead in his office in Morang.
Basyal, who was actively serving in the Armed Police Force, was found hanging from a rope attached to a ceiling fan.
According to Koshi State Police Chief DIG Chandra Kuber Khapung, DSP Upendra Basyal of the Armed Police Force was found dead in the office.
He was stationed at the Border Outpost (BOP) in Sorabhag, Dhanpaltan Rural Municipality-3.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
It is suspected that DSP Basyal committed suicide.
A team from Nepal Police has been dispatched to the scene to conduct further inquiries.
