Punya Gautam & Yuvraj Safal held from Maharajgunj

KATHMANDU: Police arrestedYuvraj Safal and Yuvraj Safal.

They were arrested by police on Sunday after attempting to demonstrate in front of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

They challenged the post-mortem findings in the instance of Shalin Pokharel, a 13-year-old Gorkha girl who died.

The hospital reported Pokharel’s death by hanging to the authorities.

Gautam and Safal were arrested and detained in the Maharajgunj police circle, according to the police.

On Falgun 12 (Feb 24), the body of a girl named Pokharel was discovered hanging inside the Ekta Shishu Niketan hostel in Ratnanagar Municipality-10, Chitwan.

The family claims that she was slain following the rape.
