Shalin Death Case: Demonstration at Teaching Hospital

KATHMANDU: Relatives of Shalin Pokharel, who was found dead in the dormitory of Shishu Niketan School in Chitwan, protested in front of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Sunday.

They chanted slogans against the hospital and hostel.

After attempting to force their way into the hospital, they got into a brawl with the police.

Some protesters were also detained by police.

Pokharel of Ekta Shishu Niketan in Ratnanagar Municipality-10, Chitwan, was discovered dead.

The police have arrested the school principal, vice principal, and hostel warden to investigate the incident.

Although Shalin’s family claimed that she was murdered following a rape, the post-mortem analysis revealed that there was no rape.
