Bike accident claims lives of youths on Pokhara visit
According to authorities, Acharya died about 4:14 a.m. and Upadhyaya died at 4:45 a.m. while receiving treatment.
KATHMANDU: Two youths died in a motorcycle accident in Pokhara.
28-year-old Mahesh Acharya and 30-year-old Shailendra Kumar Upadhyaya of Kailali died in an accident when a motorcycle hit the divider.
They were critically injured in Saturday’s accident and transported to Gandaki Medical College for treatment.
According to authorities, Acharya died about 4:14 a.m. and Upadhyaya died at 4:45 a.m. while receiving treatment.
According to Surya Bahadur Rana, Acting Information Officer of District Police Office Kaski, the accident happened in Pokhara Metropolitan City-7 Bulaudi.
While approaching Zero from Lakeside, a Bullet motorbike (Stae 02-034 Pa 5621) collided with the divider in the middle of the road, resulting in the accident.
According to police inspector Rana, both of the deceased’s bodies were discovered on Saturday afternoon by family. They traveled to Pokhara from Kathmandu on Friday for sightseeing.
