22-year-old municipal police officer Rabina’s death case: Roshan arrested

KATHMANDU: One individual has been arrested in connection with the killing of a female city police officer employed by the Mahakali Municipality of Darchula.
Rabina Palyal, 22, of Mahakali-8, was found dead hanging in her rented room in Khalanga, Mahakali Municipality-4, last Sunday.
During the investigation of Palyal’s killing, the District Police Office Darchula detained Roshan Singh Dhami of Mahakali Municipality-8. Police Inspector Govinda Bhandari of the District Police Office Darchula reported that 29-year-old Roshan Dhami was arrested after the family of the deceased girl filed a complaint against him.
The police stated that the detained young man had a close relationship with the deceased woman and that they used to communicate over the phone, following a complaint filed by the family members.
If the family’s complaint is verified, the arrested Dhami will face charges of abetment to suicide.
