Winter season concludes in Nepal, pre-monsoon conditions on horizon
As March begins, the country transitions into the pre-monsoon phase.
KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has indicated that with the conclusion of the English month of February, the winter season in Nepal draws to a close.
As March begins, the country transitions into the pre-monsoon phase.
During this period, meteorologists anticipate a pattern of clear mornings, followed by cloudy afternoons, and eventual evening rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds.
While the immediate onset of these conditions may not be imminent, the weather is steadily progressing towards typical pre-monsoon characteristics.
Although the pre-monsoon phase typically spans three months, it persists until the arrival of the monsoon.
In Nepal, the monsoon season typically commences around June 13, marking the shift from pre-monsoon to monsoon conditions.
The monsoon season extends until approximately October 2nd, after which post-monsoon conditions prevail until November.
