KATHMANDU: In an incident in Sindhuli district, a woman allegedly bit off her husband’s tongue and severed it into two pieces during a heated argument.

The victim, 36-year-old Suresh Ale Magar from Kamalamai Municipality-6 Ratamata, had his tongue mutilated by his wife, Ganga Ale Magar, following a common domestic dispute.

Reportedly, the altercation escalated, leading Ganga to bite her husband’s tongue, causing it to split into two.

As a result of the gruesome attack, Suresh Ale Magar has been hospitalized at Dhulikhel Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities revealed that the incident occurred after both parties had consumed alcohol, exacerbating the situation.

The District Police Office in Sindhuli confirmed that Ganga Ale Magar, the assailant, has been apprehended and is currently under police custody pending further investigation.
