KATHMANDU: Sharmila Waiba, who describes herself as a social activist, has been detained.

Sindhupalchowk police detained her from Bahrabise on Wednesday for alleged beating and mutilation.

After, Kathmandu police learned that Waiba had reached in Sindhupalchowk, they worked with local authorities to apprehend her.

Sharmila Waiba, Pawan’s wife Sumnima Khaling, and sister Ganga broke into Pawan’s home a few days ago and beat him.

Pawan gave a press conference with facial injuries. Sumnima, Pawan’s wife, is involved in a disagreement.
