Weather: Partial impact of western low-pressure system

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing partial effects from a westerly low-pressure system, with varying influences across the nation, as per the Weather Forecasting Division.

This afternoon, predominantly clear weather is forecasted for the hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.

However, scattered to light rain is anticipated in Gandaki, Karnali, and select hilly areas of Sudurpaschim State.

Moreover, some areas in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, especially in high hills and Himalayan regions, may witness light snowfall.

There is also a possibility of snowfall in a few locations in other high hilly and Himalayan areas.

As night approaches, hilly regions are expected to experience partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

Scattered to light rain is anticipated in Gandaki, Karnali, and certain hilly areas of Sudurpaschim State during the night, with the chance of light snowfall in a couple of places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions.
