KATHMANDU: In the opening match of the Tri-nations T20I series, Namibia secured a 20-run victory against Nepal at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Namibia showcased dominance by setting a formidable target of 207 runs, losing just four wickets in the process.

Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton stole the limelight with a remarkable century, scoring 101 runs off just 33 balls, thus achieving the fastest century in T20I history.

In response, Nepal’s captain Rohit Poudel led the bowling attack, claiming two wickets, while Karan KC and Abhinash Bohara each contributed with one wicket.

During Nepal’s batting innings, captain Rohit Poudel and Kushal Malla made notable contributions, scoring 42 and 32 runs respectively. Dipendra Singh Airee also added 48 runs to the team’s total.

R. Trumpelmann showcased exceptional bowling prowess for Namibia, securing four wickets with a stellar performance.
