Classification of cricket players: Grade A players receive 1 Lakh salary, changes in grading
The central working committee meeting, held on the Falgun 12 and 14 (Jan 26 & 28) of CAN, classified the players and established their remuneration.
KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has classed national cricket players.
The central working committee meeting, held on the Falgun 12 and 14 (Jan 26 & 28) of CAN, classified the players and established their remuneration.
According to the new categorization by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), players from Grade A to D have been included.
Under the categorization determined by CAN, 30 male players have been included, while 19 female players have been included.
On the male side, Grade A includes players like Captain Rohit Paudel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Dipendra Singh Airee, Asif Sheikh, and Kushal Bhurtel. They have been allotted a monthly salary of 100,000.
Grade B includes players like Kushal Malla, Gyanendra Malla, Bhim Sarki, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Kharif Sheikh, and Avinash Bohora. They have been allocated a monthly salary of 70,000.
Grade C includes players like Binod Bhandari, Arjun Saud, Sandeep Jora, and Pratish Giri. They have been assigned a monthly salary of 55,000.
Grade D includes players like Pawan Sharraf, Sagar Dhakal, Anil Sah, Biken Yadav, Aakash Chand, Basir Ahmad, and Surya Tamang. They have been designated a monthly salary of 35,000.
In the Emerging category, players have been selected from various regions including Dipesh Kandel from Koshi Pradesh, Rupesh Singh from Madhesh, Rijan Dhakal from Bagmati, Bipin Khatri from Gandaki, Dev Khanal from Lumbini, Arjun Gharti from Karnali, and Hemant Dharmi from Sudurpashchim. They have been allocated a monthly salary of 25,000.
Similarly, on the female side, in Grade A, players like Indu Barma, Rubina Chhetri, and Sita Rana Magar have been selected. They have been assigned a monthly salary of 50,000.
Grade B includes Kavita Kunwar. Her monthly salary has been set at 35,000, while Grade C includes Puja Mahato and Ashmina Karmacharya. Their monthly salary has been determined to be 30,000.
In Grade D, players like Apsari Begum, Kavita Joshi, Sangita Rai, Kajol Shrestha, and Vindu Rawal have been selected, with a monthly salary of 25,000.
In the women’s Emerging category, players such as Soni Pakhrin, Khushi Dangol, Jyotsna Marasaini, Kanchan Shrestha, Rubi Poudel, Sristi Jaisi, Samjhana Kumari Khadka, and Sana Prabin. Their monthly salary has been set at 20,000.
