Discussion of the principles & priorities of the appropriation bill from March 4

KATHMANDU: The discussion regarding the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2081/82 will start from Falgun 21 (March 4).

Finance Minister Dr. Praksah Sharan Mahat presented the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill for the financial year 2081/82 in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday.

Soon after, Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed that a date has been set for discussions regarding the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2081/82 from Falgun 21 (March 4).

He said that the discussion will be held on Falgun 21 (March 4), 22 (March 5), 23 (March 6), 30 (March 13) and Chaitra 1 (March 14), 2 (March 15) and 4 (March 16). He requested the officials of the respective parties to note down the names of their MPs one hour before the meeting to participate in the discussion on the basis of party representation.

He emphasized the need to discuss and finalize the principles and priorities regarding the fiscal year 2081/82, along with providing detailed information on the days of Falgun 21 (March 4), 22 (March 5), 23 (March 6), 30 (March 13) and Chaitra 1 (March 14), 2 (March 15) and 4 (March 16), urging parliamentary representatives to participate based on party representation and submit their names before scheduling a meeting an hour earlier than usual at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in New Baneshwor.

He instructed the Ministry of Finance and the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament to take note of the issues raised by the parliamentarians during the discussion.
