Accident in Surkhet: One killed, one injured

KATHMANDU: A tragic incident occurred in Surkhet where a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor resulted in the death of a young man, while another sustained serious injuries.
A pillion rider of a motorcycle (Ba 95 P 5296) from Birendranagar Municipality-3 Erichowk was hit by a tractor numbered Bhe 1 Ta 45 coming from the opposite direction.
The collision led to the death of the young man riding the motorcycle, identified as 28-year-old Vijay Rana by the local authorities.
Additionally, the motorcycle driver, 23-year-old Rupesh Giri from Ward 1 of the Dodekhali Municipality, sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Mehalkuna Hospital.
The tractor driver and his assistant fled the scene and are currently being pursued by the authorities.
