KATHMANDU: Nepal Republic Team (NRT) secured a victory against Three Star Club with a score of 1-0 in the KP Oli Cup competition.
With this win, NRT advances to the semifinals of the competition.
In the match held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Bivek Gurung scored a goal for NRT in the 29th minute of the game.
His goal proved decisive for the victory.
With today’s loss against NRT, Three Star Club is eliminated from the competition. In the first match of the competition, K.P. Oli Club emerged victorious.
The competition includes seven teams from the A Division, including Youth Club, NRT, Three Star, Nepal Police, Tribhuvan Army, and Machhindra.
Two foreign teams, Delhi FC from India, and West Bengal Club, along with the host, complete the lineup of ten teams.
The final match is scheduled for Falgun 19 (Match 2).
The winning team will receive a cash prize of 1.1 million, while the runner-up will receive 500,000.
The semifinal and final matches will take place at the Dasharath Rangashala in Tripureshwar.
