Elderly woman injured in wild boar attack

KATHMANDU: A 66-year-old woman named Heeradevi Adhikari has been injured in an attack by a wild boar in Kamalbazaar Municipality-7 of Achham today.

According to Santosh Pathak, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Achham District Police Office, the incident occurred when the elderly woman was grazing goats in the Pathariya Jungle, located approximately half a kilometer away from her home.

She sustained deep injuries from the wild boar attack and has been provided with initial medical treatment at the Kamalbazaar Health Post.

Additionally, arrangements have been made to transfer her to the Surkhet State Hospital for further treatment.

The attack has left the woman with severe injuries to her back.
