Namibia set Netherlands a target of 204 runs

KATHMANDU: In the ICC League-2 match, Namibia set a target of 203 runs for the Netherlands.

Having lost the toss and batting first on the cricket field, Namibia was all out for 203 runs in 41.3 overs.

For Namibia, Jyan Loftie-Eaton scored the highest with 49 runs. Similarly, Malan Kruger, making his debut, added 39 runs.

Opener Nicolus Davin returned to the pavilion without scoring a run in the first over itself. He was caught by the wicketkeeper off the bowling of Bibyan Kingma. Michael van Lingen, who came in at number three, managed only 10 runs before being caught by the bowler off the ball of Rulof van der Merwe.

Captain Gerhard Erasmus also failed to stay long at the crease. He scored 12 runs in 22 balls before being caught by Noah Croes off the bowling of Rulof van der Merwe. After that, in the game debuting today, opener Malan Kruger was in the game. He was bowled by Aryan Dutt for 39 runs off 48 balls, including 5 fours.

For the Netherlands, Vivian Kingma took the most wickets with 3. Similarly, Aryan Dutt and Rulof van der Merwe shared 2-2 wickets, while Shariz Ahmad and Bas de Leede took 1-1 wicket each.
