Sitapaila Incident: Initial police findings point to extramarital relationships
Kaji revealed in a recorded video after the murders that his wife, Ishwari Shrestha, had been involved in extramarital affairs with two men.
KATHMANDU: Raju Ghimire, also known as Kaji BK in Sitapaila, commits suicide following allegations of involvement in the murder of his wife, daughter, and niece.
The main reason cited by the police for his drastic action is the existence of “post-marital relationships.”
Kaji revealed in a recorded video after the murders that his wife, Ishwari Shrestha, had been involved in extramarital affairs with two men.
He made his 15-year-old son record a video on his mobile phone and revealed about his wife’s relationship with two men.
Ishwari Shrestha, aged 38, of Ward No. 10 of Solukhumbu’s Dudhkunda Municipality and residing in Sitapaila, had filed a public complaint of rape against a man in Magh 2080 BS.
Police investigated and arrested Ramesh Shrestha in connection with the case. The accused was released on bail of Rs. 500,000 in Falgun 2.
After the issue of the relationship between Ramesh Shrestha and Ishwari was dropped, Kaji and Ishwari had stopped discussing it.
However, on Tuesday night, they had a dispute over “Chitwan’s boy.” Investigating officials informed that there was a “dispute” between the father and son over the matter.
Ishwari Shrestha, along with her daughter-in-law, Jenny, lived together with Kaji BK. Ishwari married Kaji BK for the second time. Jenny is the wife of Anil’s son from her first husband.
The investigation into the murder committed by Kaji unfolds after Jenny left for work at 7 in the morning.
Kaji murdered two-year-old Shivani, Jenny’s daughter.
