KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) has introduced a new branchless banking service at Dairy Market, Phidim Municipality Ward No. 12, marking a significant expansion of its services in Panchthar District.

The launch of this service, effective from Monday, adds to the bank’s network of branchless banking outlets, bringing the total count to 275.

The inauguration ceremony was jointly conducted by Deputy Mayor Radhakrishna Neupane of Phidim Municipality, Ward No. 12 Chair Kamal Prasad Chapagain, and Assistant General Manager of the Bank, Dilip Pokharel.

This initiative aims to facilitate rural residents in accessing various banking services through local representatives. With branchless banking services, individuals can open deposit accounts, deposit and withdraw funds within specified limits, inquire about their account balances, and even make loan interest payments.
