KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has urged individuals, companies, and organizations to vacate the government land in the Lalita Niwas area of Ward No. 4.
Issuing a public notice issued today, they have requested cooperation within a 7-day period to safeguard public property.
The public notice states, “Individuals, companies, and organizations currently occupying the Lalita Niwas area are requested to cooperate with the Metropolitan City within 7 days of the publication date for the protection and proper management of government property in the area.”
The notice also informs that if the area is not vacated within the specified period, the relevant laws will be enforced to remove the occupants and ensure the protection, surveillance, and proper management of the government land and property.
The municipal authority has reaffirmed that the area legally belongs to the government, as per the verdict of the Special Court.
Moreover, the local administration has warned of possible repercussions if the area is not vacated within the stipulated timeframe.
