Protest by Hindu Samaj brings Birgunj market to a halt

KATHMANDU: The bustling market area of Birgunj Metropolitan City witnessed a temporary standstill today as youth from the Hindu Samaj Birgunj organized a protest echoing the chants of ‘Jai Shree Ram.’
The demonstration led to the closure of numerous shops along key thoroughfares, including Ghantaghar, Maisthan, Adarshanagar, and Ghadiarwa Pokhari.
Under the banner of the Hindu Samaj, activists voiced their concerns by shutting down the market and rallying behind the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram.’
In addition to staging the protest, members of the Hindu Samaj also presented a memorandum to Parsa Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal.
Acknowledging the memorandum, CDO Bhusal reassured the public, emphasizing that everyone’s security is paramount in Parsa. He pledged swift action to address any concerns promptly, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
