KATHMANDU: RPP President Rabi Lamichhane raised questions regarding whether action will be taken against Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, who was found guilty in the Bal Kumari incident, during a parliamentary meeting.

Speaking during Sunday’s session, Lamichhane demanded that Prime Minister Dahal provide a response to the inquiry.

Lamichhane also criticized both Jwala for not resigning on moral grounds despite being found guilty and Prime Minister Dahal for not addressing the issue, suggesting a compromise of ethical standards amidst governance speeches.

Lamichhane further indicated that Prime Minister Dahal needs to be accountable in parliament and expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s efforts to combat corruption and nepotism, urging for the opening of files related to corruption.

Moreover, Lamichhane highlighted that the examination of Prime Minister Dahal’s tenure has now begun, emphasizing the need for scrutiny over the government’s actions.
