KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML, the main opposition party, has called for the removal of Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala.

Mahesh Bartaula, the UML whip, stated that with the commission of inquiry finding the government minister culpable in the murder case at Bal Kumari in Lalitpur, it is untenable for him to remain in office.

During the question and answer session with the Prime Minister at the House of Representatives’ Sunday meeting, Whip Bartaula urged the immediate dismissal of Minister Prakash Jwala, emphasizing that it is unacceptable for the UML to punish soldiers while shielding guilty ministers identified by a government-formed commission.

He asserted that it is unacceptable to differentiate between soldiers and ministers, especially when the home minister is also implicated in the incident.
