‘Rangeli’ movie launches ‘Meme Challenge’, winners get cash & a smartphone
To enter, contestants must screenshot scenes from 'Rangeli' teasers and songs available on YouTube, and craft a creative mime performance to share on social media platforms.
KATHMANDU: The Nepali movie ‘Rangeli’, which will be released on the day of Maha Shivaratri, has announced a ‘Meme Challenge’. The winner will get cash, a smartphone and a premier pass.
To enter, contestants must screenshot scenes from ‘Rangeli’ teasers and songs available on YouTube, and craft a creative mime performance to share on social media platforms.
Open to participants worldwide, entrants are required to use the hashtags #Rangelimovie, #rangelifalgun25, and #rangeli when posting their entries.
Executive producer Jeetendra Khatiwada emphasized that judging criteria will focus on creativity and engagement metrics, including likes, shares, and comments.
The top meme creator will receive a cash prize of 10,000 Nepali rupees and a UMIDIGI smartphone, with ten additional winners securing passes to the movie’s premiere.
Written and directed by Arjun Subedi, ‘Rangeli’ stars Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Arpan Thapa, Praveen Khatiwada, Ramesh Budhathoki, and others in prominent roles.
The film’s executive producers are Jeetendra Khatiwada and Anuj Jung Thapa, while Sansar Chaulagain and Ramesh Bhattarai Bashistha serve as producers, with Yuwak Karki and Shiv Shankar Chaulagain as co-producers.
