EC issues 15 directives to political parties (full text)

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has issued 15-point instructions to all political parties registered with the Election Commission.

The meeting of the commission held on Thursday gave instructions regarding party committee, position, change of office bearer, membership and other matters in accordance with section 57 of the Political Party Act, 2073.

The notice issued by the Commission has instructed political parties to provide information regarding changes or amendments made to their name, statute, rules, logo, flag, or symbol within 30 days as per Section 51 of the Political Parties Act, 2073.

This directive was released by the Commission’s Deputy Secretary and Assistant Spokesperson, Dr. Thaneshwar Bhusal.
