KATHMANDU: In the program organized by Durga Prasai, titled ‘Campaign for Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens’ Protection,’ former King Gyanendra Shah, accompanied by the RPP, will no longer participate institutionally.

Prasai had extended an invitation to former King Gyanendra Shah to attend the protest gathering scheduled for the 1st of Falgun in Kathmandu as the chief guest.

However, the former king is slated to travel to Chitwan on Sunday.

He is currently engaged in visiting various religious sites in Chitwan and meeting supporters. As per the secretariat, it is confirmed that he will not be able to attend Prasain’s program due to a prior commitment in Chitwan.

Similarly, Prasai met RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden on Monday and asked him to send workers to his program.

However, RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said that there is no institutional participation of the party in Prasai’s program and movement. He clarified that President Lingden has no program to participate in the Prasai program held on Tuesday.
