KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court Judge Yagya Prasad Acharya has been transferred.

Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha transferred Acharya from Kathmandu District Court to Mugu District Court on Sunday.

Arun Kumar Chaudhary, a businessman detained in connection with the Bansbari Leather Shoe Company’s land grabbing, sparked controversy when he refused to extend the deadline and was ordered to be released within two days.

Even though Acharya’s order was not satisfied, the Supreme Court had a discussion in the zero hour, stating that the phrase was not consistent with the judicial spirit.

It is said that Acharya himself was sent to Mugu to make his work easier. Before the end of two years, Chief Justice Shrestha transferred Acharya to the Kathmandu District Court.
