Snowfall in West Nepal, farmers joyous
Snowfall and rain have occurred in the high mountainous parts of Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Lumbini States.
KATHMANDU: Due to the low pressure system occured in Nepal along with the westerly winds, there has been rain and snow in western Nepal.

It has been snowing in Jumla since morning. About half a foot of snow has accumulated across the district, including the capital Khalanga.
Parvati Budha, a local resident of Tila Rural Municipality-1 of the district, informed that the farmers who planted winter crops and were waiting for rain from the sky were happy after the late snowfall.
This is the first snowfall of the winter season. It’s snowing now. Even in Magh, farmers were concerned about a drought due to the lack of snow.
According to the Agricultural Development Office, farmers who planted barley and wheat crops were considerably comforted by the snowfall.
According to Gopal Rokaya, an agricultural entrepreneur, the snow will melt now that the planting season for apple and walnut trees has begun.
Snowfall in Jumla and Upper Karnali has caused disruptions in flying services.
