How is the weather today?

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the western wind is currently having a partial influence on Nepal. According to the department, the weather is clear in the country’s hilly sections, while the rest of it is partially cloudy.

A few locations in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Bagmati States, as well as Madhesh and Koshi States, have been impacted.

The weather will be generally clear in the country’s hilly parts, including Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, in the afternoon, with partly cloudy skies elsewhere.

A few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim states, as well as parts of the remaining mountainous areas, are expected to receive light rain. Light to moderate snowfall is expected in a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim states, as well as in the remaining high hills and mountain areas.

At night, the hilly portions of the country, such as Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, would be mostly cloudy, with the remainder areas partly cloudy. Some locations in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki States, as well as some other hilly areas, may get light to heavy rain.

There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall at many places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali States and few places in the rest of the high hills and Himalayan areas.

As there will be fog and fog in most parts of the Terai in the morning, the daily life, health, transport and air services may be affected, so the division has requested to take necessary measures and precautions to avoid the possible effects and also the cold.
