Toddler dies of drowning in Jhapa

KATHMANDU: A 2-year-old Aayush Ram, son of Anil Ram, resident of Jhapa Rural Municipality-1, died on Wednesday morning after drowning in a water-logged pit in front of his maternal uncle’s house, residing in Bahardashi Rural Municipality-3, Radhanagar.

He drowned in a ditch while playing and died during treatment at Birta City Hospital, Birtamode.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
