Pakistan former PM jailed for 14 years
Khan, ousted as PM in 2022, is currently serving a three-year term for corruption.

KATHMANDU: Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi have been sentenced a 14-year prison, one day after the former Pakistan prime minister was jailed for 10 years.
Khan, ousted as PM in 2022, is currently serving a three-year term for corruption.
On Tuesday, he was sentenced for leaking state secrets, and on Wednesday, an additional 14 years were added for a graft case.
Khan claims the charges are politically motivated. With these convictions, just a week before Pakistan’s national elections, where he is ineligible to stand, it is anticipated that the sentences will be served concurrently.
Khan has been in detention since last August when he was arrested.
His spouse, Bushra Bibi, had been on remand during the trial, which involved allegations of the couple illegally selling state gifts for personal profit.
