Futsal tournament organized by DAV College concluded
According to the school, the futsal competition was held to instill discipline in students and prepare talented football players through athletics.
KATHMANDU: The 5th DAV College (+2) Inter College 6 A side Futsal Tournament, hosted by DAV College, has concluded.
Last Saturday, the futsal tournament was completed in magnificent style in the presence of the organization’s president, Anil Kedia.
According to the school, the futsal competition was held to instill discipline in students and prepare talented football players through athletics.
The competition was held on the college’s futsal ground. A total of 42 players took part.
Kedia Foundation Chair Anil Kedia, Nepal’s former national footballer Pradeep Maharjan, and college principal Suman Basnet inaugurated the tournament.
The event’s special visitors included Rajkumar Shah, Corporate Marketing Head of Kedia Organization, Mahavir Aggarwal, Director of Shiva Shakti Uniform, Chair of the School Foundation; and Nishant Shrestha, National Director of Global Touch.
Suman Basnet, the college’s principal, claimed that the four-day tournament was the largest at the (+2) level.
The winner team Vinayak Si was jointly presented with Rs 3 lakh cash, a trophy and a certificate by Anil Kedia, President of Kedia Foundation, Suman Basnet, Principal of the college, Mahavir Aggarwal, Director of Shiva Shakti Uniform, Chair of School Foundation and Nishant Shrestha, National Director of Global Touch.
The runner-up team, Kumari Ekademi (KEBS), was awarded a cash prize of NPR 200,000 along with a trophy and a certificates, while outstanding players, DAV College’s Bhargav Silwal, and the exceptional goalkeeper of Kumari Academy, Vivek Shrestha, as well as top scorer Mahesh Darnal from Vinayak Siddha College, also received exciting cash prizes of NPR 15,000 each along with trophies and certificates.
