Pradeep Khadka, Diya Maskes & Kishor Acharya nominated as NIFF jury
According to the chair of the festival, KP Pathak, actor Pradeep Khadka for movies, actress Diya Maskey and Kishor Acharya for short films and documentaries have been decided to be members of the judging committee on behalf of Nepal.
KATHMANDU: A jury member from Nepal has been nominated for the seventh edition of the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF), which is held by the Nepal Film and Culture Foundation.
According to the chair of the festival, KP Pathak, actor Pradeep Khadka for movies, actress Diya Maskey and Kishor Acharya for short films and documentaries have been decided to be members of the judging committee on behalf of Nepal.
“According to the provision that there will be a three-member committee in three categories in the festival, the names of the judging members for Nepal have been finalized, in the same category there will be two judging foreign filmmakers, we will announce their names shortly”, Chair Pathak said.
He informed that 88 films from 40 countries have been selected for the festival to be held in Kathmandu from March 1st to 5th.
Chair Pathak said that it was a pleasure to include the film that was screened in prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Locarno and Berlin.
According to him, there will be workshops, discussions and interactive programs related to various genres of production along with the screening of films participating in the festival.
