Man murdering 50-year-old woman held
Maya Karki Pulami Magar, 50, was found dead near Badminton Covered Hall in Arjundhara-6 on the morning of Magh 8 (Jan 22).
KATHMANDU: The Jhapa police have released a accused in the murder of a woman in Arjundhara, Jhapa, a week ago.
The accused Chandra Prasad Prasai was made public by the police during a press conference held at the Anaramani area police station.
Maya Karki Pulami Magar, 50, was found dead near Badminton Covered Hall in Arjundhara-6 on the morning of Magh 8 (Jan 22).
According to the police, during the inquiry, it was discovered that Prasai, 46, who resides in Birtamode-8, murdered the woman. He admitted to the police that he committed the crime.
According to the preliminary investigation of the police, he killed the woman because of ‘illegal physical relationship’.
According to the police, following a disagreement, they engaged in tussle, during which Prasai repeatedly smashed the Magar’s head with a stone.
The woman died on the spot as a result of the attack, and Prasai left after throwing her body in the yard. During the search, police apprehended Prasai.
